Gas Valves

As an engineer working on HVAC systems, you understand the critical role of gas valves in maintaining temperature and air quality. These valves regulate air flow, ensuring efficient heating, cooling, and ventilation. When it comes to actuating gas valves, two key components stand out: MEMS sensors and stepper motors. Let’s explore why integrating these technologies into your gas valve designs is a smart choice.

Our MEMS Sensor Advantage

On the right is a diagram of traditional valve guts, shown with various mechanical components that take up a lot of real-estate in the valve. A pressure sensor would eliminate most of the mechanical components and increase valve accuracy if used with stepper motor. We offer both a MEMS sensor and stepper motor that is ideal for this application.

  • Low costs (our customers have admitted that they have not seen pricing this low for the stated accuracy)
  • Robust construction where Natural gas (NG) is not in contact with electronics. NG has sulfur which can become acidic with moisture, causing failures to electronics
  • Small size of 7 mm x 7 mm makes the sensor ideal for this application
